20 February
They are about 10 pounds now  at 6 1/2 weeks. There was a row of just-sprouted snow peas along the front of the greenhouse and all the way around the fencing until I had to use the area for emergency pup housing after Cookie was injured.

Not visible here is (was) the 18' x 4' amaryllis bed. The Langoliers leveled it of course. *sigh*

If they weren't so much fun, I'd have to eat them!

What goes in must come out and it was imperative to give them freedom to run AND have a secure place to be parked other than in the greenhouse. They've munched a bunch of the skin in the back and on one side and frankly I need the structure at this time of the year. Today I built them a portable 30' circumference portable pen with a yurt roof.

They didn't care much to be moved from their favorite chomping grounds and it has been quite noisy tonight. At this age they still have the little dawg bird-voices but they suprized me a few days ago with the first group 'howl'!
